I opened my eyes and blinked a few times, yawning and stretching.  The sun was almost setting in the afternoon sky outside the window.  The sun sparkled in through the glass and roused me from my nap.  I sat up and looked over at my belly where the last little bit of a filling meal had been earlier this afternoon.  "Finished," I thought to myself proudly, smacking my lips.  After a long day of napping and digesting the last savory bit of my most recent meal, I decided we should have a little fun tonight.

My name is Tia.  I'm a big green snake with bright yellow eyes and a scaly, yellow belly.  I live with my best friend Miles and his parents.  Miles is a little, 10-year-old kid, and the sweetest you've ever met.  He's a little shorter than most kids his age, and he's got blue eyes and ruffled, brown hair.

He was kicking back on his bed in his socks, reading a comic book when I slithered on up to him.  I asked if we could have a sleep over tonight with our pals A and Arbok.  It wasn't too hard to convince him to ask him mom.  He's a real softie, Miles.  It being a Saturday, his mom agreed without much discussion.  She was fond of A and Arbok too, after all.

The two of them arrived shortly after dinner.  I hadn't eaten anything because I was saving my appetite.  A was already in his pajamas when he arrived, anticipating the night's excitement.  He still had on his hat and his goggles around his neck.  Miles changed into his PJs and the two of them got right to it.  I think the first thing that comes to a little boy's mind when he thinks "sleep over" is video games.  They sat right down in front of the TV in their pajamas and barely moved from that spot until bed time.  Arbok and I were no good at video games though, only having a tail and all, but Miles and A's devotion to their art left us time to do what snakes do best: relax.  We curled up on the couch behind out little pals and watched them play.

After a while, Arbok and I were getting a little hungry.  We had both just polished off the last of our previous meals earlier today.  Arbok's stomach growled and I giggled at her.  "Hungry?" I asked.

She grinned at me.  I knew she'd been planning something special and I was anxious to hear.  Snakes can be quite devious, you know.  Stealthily, we slithered off the couch and around the corner into the other room.

"So," I hissed slyly, "it is around dinner time for us snakes, isn't it?  What did you have in mind?"  I already knew what she was thinking, as it was somewhat of a regular occurrence for us.

Arbok grinned.  "I think we should wait until bed time, after they turn the lights out.  Then, once they start to get sleepy, it'll be dinner time.  Next thing they know they'll be spending the night with us, in our full, satisfied stomachs."

Just thinking about them was making our mouths water.  I grinned back, almost drooling after listening to her devious plan.  "I like the way you think, Arbok."  I lowered my voice and added, "but we gotta make sure they don't suspect a thing."

"Right," she said in agreement and we slunk back into the room where our dinner was still playing games, unaware that they were tonight's main course.

The next hour before bed time felt like an eternity as we sat back, mouths watering, and watched our scrumptious little morsels closely, waiting to tuck them in to their squishy, wet beds.  Finally Miles' mom came in.

"Alright, you two," she said, "time for bed."

"But, mom!" Miles protested, "we almost beat the game!"

"Well you can finish in the morning," she replied.  "Look, Tia and Arbok are already asleep."  She gestured to us.  Arbok and I were pretending to be asleep together on the sofa, trying to speed things up a bit.

Miles sighed.  "Alright," he said, "just let us save."

"Don't forget to brush your teeth," his mom said before she left.  "Sleep tight, you four," and with that she walked out.

After another minute or two, they had saved their game, and Miles stood up and stretched.  "C'mon, A," he said and the two of them left the room to get ready for bed.  Arbok and I took this time to prepare and go over our plan.

"Alright," whispered Arbok, "this is it: dinner time.  After the lights go out and they stop talking, we'll give them 10 minutes to get sleepy, and then…"

"Chow time," I completed her sentence.

The boys came back into the room chatting about something and we pretended to be asleep again.  Before slipping into their sleeping bags, Miles turned down the lights and they both walked over to give us a good night squeeze.  Miles put his arms around me and A around Arbok and they snuggled in deep for a moment.

"Sleep tight, guys," A said softly.  "Hope you had a good time too."

"Oh, we will," thought the two of us, deviously.

After one more little squeeze, they reluctantly let go, turned out the lights, and headed over to their beds.  They slipped into their sleeping bags and chatted for a while.  Eventually their conversation slowed down as they grew sleepy, yawning as they tried to stay awake.  But before long, they fast were asleep.

Arbok poked me with her tail; it was too dark in the room to see.

"Think they're asleep?" she whispered.

"Yeah, I think so," I replied.

We both knew what to do.  Silently, we slipped onto the floor and slithered through the darkness over to our warm, sleeping dinners.  We could hardly wait.  Both of us were licking our lips.

"Ready?" I whispered.

"Ready," Abrok whispered back.

We both opened wide and grabbed the sweet little boys by their shoulders.  They woke up as soon as our slimy, forked tongues licked across their faces.  They squirmed helplessly as we coiled up around them to hold them still.  We strategically kept our mouths closed firmly around them as not to let them make a sound.

They were delicious as ever.  We slurped on them happily, enjoying the success of our plan.  But something wasn't quite right.  However, being as dark as it was, it was useless to look over at Arbok, and being not so keen on the idea of a pair of soggy, saliva-slathered little boys making a mess of everything, I shrugged it off and made my first big gulp.

Once they realized what was going on, the boys calmed down a bit, which wasn't considerably much since what was going on involved their surprise ingestion.  But by this point we had our pals wrapped up snug in our coils for us to swallow up at our leisure.  Inch by inch we gulped them down, warm, wriggling bodies filling our empty stomachs.  Our insides squeezed them tight and before long we were slurping up their socks.  With a succulent smack of our lips and one last gulp, they plummeted into our bellies with a squishy, wet squelch.

Now at this point, you might be thinking, "Tia, how could you do that?  Those boys love you so much, they even gave you a good night hug, and you repay them by having them for dinner?"  Well, to answer that question, yes, yes we do.  If you were good friends with a giant snake too, I'm sure you'd understand, but seeing as how you're probably not, let's just say, it's an affectionate sort of dinner, shall we?

Arbok and I caught our breath and she hiccupped.  I flicked on the lights so we could see each other.  The boys were squirming nicely in our full bellies, getting comfy for the night.  Arbok and I looked at the bulges in our tummies and then at each other, smiling.  We burst into giggles.

"Oh, that hit the spot," Arbok sighed once we stopped laughing.

"Uh-huh," I agreed, followed by a little burp.  I paused to enjoy my full stomach for a moment then continued, "but, did you taste something, I don't know, different, about A?"

"Yeah," she said suspiciously, "now that you mention it.  New pajamas maybe?"

"Yeah, you're right.  Must've been the PJs."  And with that we dismissed the notion.

Now it was really bed time.  I turned the lights out again and Arbok and I curled up on the sofa, rubbing our tummies with our tails.  Our pals were fast asleep inside us now, getting a good night's sleep after a long day of play.  With our boys tucked snug in their warm, slimy beds, and the two of us cradling our satisfyingly swollen stomachs, we began to doze off.

Arbok and I woke up late the next morning.  Everyone had slept great and just as expected, the boys were still asleep in their sleeping bags on the floor after their restful night in our stomachs.  If you're wondering how that happened, well, let's just say it's a little snake magic we've picked up over the years, and if I might add, it has come in quite handy on many occasions.

I yawned as I tried to wake myself up, eyes half open.  Miles' mom came into the room and opened the blinds, letting the sun in, much to everyone's displeasure.

"C'mon, wake up, sleepy heads," she said to the boys.  They rolled over lazily in their beds and groaned.  "Breakfast's on the table," she said.

"Alright," Miles said, and the two of them got up slowly.

"You two are welcome to join them," she offered to us.

"No, thanks," I said politely, "we're stuffed."  Arbok and I grinned at each other; she had no idea.

The boys finally managed to get themselves out of bed and off to the kitchen for breakfast, leaving Arbok and I basking in the sun on the sofa, still enjoying our full tummies.  We sighed, smiling to ourselves.  Our plan had worked perfectly, everyone got a good night's sleep, and we got a satisfying meal to top it all off.

But something still wasn't feeling right.  My stomach gurgled and I burped up something slimy.  "Gross," I said, making a face.  Even I was feeling a little disgusted, although it didn't taste half bad.

"Hey," Arbok said, looking at what appeared to be a slimy pair of goggles that I had just spit out.  "Don't those look like A's goggles?" she asked me.

"Yeah," I said, examining them as they sat before us, coated in a thick, slimy layer of digestive juices.  "They kinda do, don't they."

"But, wouldn't that mean…"

We looked at each other and our eyes opened wide.

"We must've gotten the boys mixed up last night in the dark!" I exclaimed.

"I knew something tasted funny," Arbok said.

We paused and looked at each other again before bursting into giggles.

"Well," Arbok said after we caught our breath, "little Miles was delicious.  How was mine?" she asked with a grin.

"Scrumptious," I said, licking my lips.

The two of us laughed, rubbing each other's bellies with our tails and licking the boy's taste from our lips, finally putting a face to the new flavor.  "Do you think we should tell the boys?" I asked.

Arbok thought for a moment.  "Nah," she replied, "they don't need to know.  It can be our little secret."

We grinned deviously and giggled again.

Later that day, it was time for A and Arbok to head home.  They got packed up and waited for A's mom to come pick them up.  We heard the car horn outside.

"Time for us to go," A said, picking up his bag and heading for the door.

"See you later, A.  It was fun," Miles called to him as he and Arbok headed out.

"Sure was," he called back over his shoulder.  "See you around!"

Miles and I stood in the doorway, seeing them off.  Arbok looked around at us as she slithered off behind her friend and winked.

"What was that about?" Miles asked me after they had gone and the door was shut again.

"Oh, nothing," I said smugly, smiling to myself.

Miles just shrugged.  He was used to us snakes keeping secrets.

"I had a great time, buddy," I told him, giving him a little lick on the cheek.

He giggled.  "Yeah, me too, pal," he said, smiling at me.

He didn't have a clue.
Finally! So, let me tell you a story. I told my good friend A that we were gonna write him a story about seven months ago. We just finished it. This is almost 100% due to my innate ability to procrastinate writing stuff, but also partially due to Tia's laziness. Also, there was a point where we had written almost 90% of the story and thought that it just might not be good enough yet. Eventually, our friend DaNinjaMan took a look at it for us and said everything was fine and that we should finish it up. After reading it again, he was write. It was a lot better than we had remembered in fact. So, here it is. All done.

This is a story for our friends A and Arbok. Now, you might notice that this story is written entirely from Tia's perspective. That's very astute of you. This story was written almost entirely by my good friend Miss Tia the Snake, dictated to me, the typist. This is her first story, so go easy on her, but still let us know what you think. Would you like to see more from Tia in the future?

Also, we hope you enjoy the surprise ending. :D
